Entries from July 2008
Been back home on the 9th of this month and it looks like I have lost track of time. I am stationed at Bandar Bukit Jalil rushing up the houses for the buyers. There is a lot of work to be completed and it’s not easy to do it without vitamin “M”. So I have to face the brunt from the buyers and the authorities, however all this is not my making.
The next best thing to do is actually start looking for another job but I guess the job market is pretty dull at the moment. Got myself registered with Job street dot com and let’s see what happens?
Everything seems to be expensive after the recent fuel hike and I don’t see any good news coming out from that. Looks like my expense is more then my income and there goes all my savings from my overseas job.
Hope is all I have and I sure do hope to get another job soon.

Would you trust blogs which doesn’t display the profile, you don’t even know where the blogger is from, what sex and sometimes some personal information like his or her’s likes. It only has an initial.
I had someone who commented on my blog at blogger just now and I clicked on this persons blog as a matter of courtesy and to my suprise there wasn’t any info on the blogger.
Well I wasn’t feeling comfortable visiting a site like that, I definitely would like the blog to have at least the photo and location of the blogger. So when you type something on their blog, you at least feel a little connected by visualizing them.
So do let me know what you feel on this?

Well I had a great party last night and I went to bed at 12.30 a.m but I was still sober. Was on the net for a short while but the damn internet by Tata Indicom got dissconected for no apparent reason, tried switching the system off and on again a couple of times until I said enough was enough. Went to bed rather angry as I couldn’t read the articles that I wanted to read about the happenings at home in Kuala Lumpur.
Got up to a bleak Sunday as I know the house was in a mess after last nights party, the servant came in by 10.15 a.m. and she did the needful and cleaned up the mess. After that I have been blogging and checking up the net, have to read the newspaper on the net though and the damn current went off at 12 noon here in Sainikpuri and I still haven’t decided what to eat yet for lunch, I have the leftover from the party and this morning I had to throw the wonderful fish curry that I made as I didn’t keep it in the fridge last night and hence there was froth on it. Why risk it and so I told the servant to throw it away.
Got myself a bottle of Tiger beer and I am still sitting on the first mug for hours until the beer is already warm. Sunday is terrible for me as I have too much time to kill but I guess not for long as from Wednesday onwards I would be back home with the family.
Someimes I wonder, who reads my blogs that I write about mundane things as I know for sure that there are no readers because not a soul had commented on them in WordPress unlike blogger but I just keep at it as I need to kill my time and I am sure there are people out there who are in a similar boat like me.
Have a wonderful Sunday unlike mine.

Yes I am getting a farewell party today from my friends and neighbour and they have lined up quite a lot of goodies which includes crabs, fish, pork and beef. Even they have bought a couple of bottles of liquor, whisky, vodka and rum. Looks like it’s gonna be one hell of a party.
So I guess it is going to be a royal send off for me as I leave Hyderabad for good on 08.07.08, nice date huh. Anyway I am going back home to KL after 6 long years stationed in Hyderabad.
I will post a couple of snap shots from this party in a couple of days.
So wish me fun and I hope with all these drinks I don’t get pissed out before the night is over.

Well what you see below is my little pad in Sainikpuri which is about 40 minutes drive from Hyderabad and why I chose this place was that it is a relatively quiet place and I like the design of the house with it’s marble flooring. It is more of a studio apartment with only a master bedroom, a nice huge toilet where I can place my washing machine and a spacious kitchen. It definitely is a setting for a bachelor life, where everything is within reach. I had even set up my office in the living area and with my workstation in my room. Even my dinning is in the living area.
So it’s going to be goodbye to this pad and back to normal life in Kuala Lumpur. Gonna miss my privacy though but hey look at the bright side, I would be with my family.

It has been 3 days since I had started this blog thinking that I would get visitors or hits but it seems pretty pathetic. What happened to the flow? Maybe I have to visit others on their blogs first. It’s like putting up your stall and waiting for the customers to trickle in and maybe a few would have seen but doesn’t have the courage to comment yet. What are you waiting for guys, come in and leave your footprint so that I can return the favour by dropping by to your site too.

Yes after Tueasday I am going to say bye-bye to this powercuts in Sainikpuri that I am staying. What is wrong with this people, they cut the power from 12 noon to 1 pm and again in the evening from 5 pm to 6 pm. What gave them the right to do this cutting and whenever they please it keeps going off and the power fluctuation is terrible in the day time and early morning. Looks like this State (Andhra Pradesh) is going to face a severe shortage of power by next summer as it looks like the monsoon has not lived up to it’s expectation so it would be a double whamy, no power and water.
I am outta here from this place and heading home, I had enough of this torture and the hard water that I use for my bath everyday. Enough of the crazy traffic, enough of cooking for myself and just enough of being here. I had enough of waiting, waiting and nothing but waiting here, right from paying bills to lining up in banks to the supermarket.
Just felt like letting out my frustration which was pent up for the last 6 years that I was here.

What is your take on this? It crossed my mind as I was reading Paulo Coelho’s latest book titled “Brida” and I am half way through it now and I really find it interesting. Would anyone of you like to share your feelings about soulmate or do you feel that you are married to your soulmate.
Here is what Brida was told by Wicca ‘But how will I know who my Soulmate is?’ ‘By taking risks,’ she said to Brida. ‘By risking failure, dissappointment, disillusion, but never ceasing in your search for Love. As long as you keep looking, you will triumph in the end.’
It is quite intriguing to even think that we have a soulmate out there and if we haven’t found our soulmate then when are we going to do it and who are we married with now at the present moment. Is it because we haven’t found our soulmate, we end up quarelling and fighting with our present spouse. It’s just a thought, like they say “marriages are made in heaven” but with the wrong choice of mate, it could be the reverse.
Anyway I am going to give you a review of the book that I took from the internet. My recommendation is: what are you waiting for, go get a copy of the book.

Search for one’s destiny, true love and a soulmate, finding a path to a higher and more joyous self, making choices that lead to these desirables are the usual Paulo Coelho staples themes that one finds in Brida, the author’s latest offering. This is both the strength and weakness of the new novel. While these themes have been responsible for his best-sellers like the Alchemist and Eleven Minutes selling over 100 million books in 66 languages, with Brida they seem not shine with the usual Coelho brilliance. However, the novel does retain some elements of his usual eloquence and wisdom and can be read for the same.
The book is a tad repetitive though and falters in weaving the Coelho brand of magic and philiosophy that usually finds a resonance with most of his readers.
The novel follows the journey of 21-year old girl, Brida who was a ”witch” or an enlightened woman in her past reincarnations and had forgotten the same through various births. However, the attraction to occult and magic lingered in her memory and made her seek teachers and knowledge that would guide her on this path. As she embarks on her journey, she rediscovers her gift through the teachings of a wise man and a tarot card reader who is herself a witch. This woman teaches her to dance to the hidden music of the world and connect with her soul through her own voyage of discovery.
Coelho’s books allow the reader to slow down, introspect and find answers to questions like who we are and what is our place in the world . With Brida, the author seems to have hit a rough patch. The storyline is a bit sketchy. However, Coelho fans would recognize that Brida takes forward the ”witch” or ” free, joyful and intuitive woman” theme that he had introduced with his earlier novel ”The Witch of Portobello”.
In all, it’s a hit or miss book — a hit with regular Coelho readers and perhaps a miss with first time Coelho readers.
